News from the Weintraubs:
Lindsey enjoyed attending a summer mock trial institute at UCLA & will leave next Monday for a volleyball tournament in Hawaii. Haley is up in the bay area this week attending a camp for kids with Celiac. They both enjoyed being junior counselors at the Nature Camp put on by the Parks & Recreation Department. Haley also took an outrigger canoeing camp, which she loved. “Our dog, Molly got really sick while we were gone on vacation but we just got back lab results that showed us her disease is treatable.”

The Salthouse news:
Catherine leaves for college on Aug 17. (University of Puget Sound, Tacoma, WA)

Fernandez Family News:
The Fernandez family had out of town guest Nancy McCullough from July 17th through July 21. She along with Kelley Sener went with us to see Wicked at the Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles on Friday July 18th. “We even got to go to the “Behind the Emerald Curtain” which gave you insights into some behind the scenes activity. Then on Monday, July 21st the 3 of us left for Maui @ 5 am. We had a wonderful time until we came home on July 31st. We went to a Luau (1st time in 30 years) @ the Royal Lahaina, went to see a production entitled “Ulalena” (it’s about the 8th or 9th time we’ve seen it….absolutely wonderful), Terry flew to Oahu to fly fish and the most exciting thing was the ZipLine that Terry and Kelsey did our last day! Quite exciting!”

From Ally Michel:
“I’d like to just tell everyone that Summer Connections at UCSB was amazing! I am having the best YOU experience and I’m so happy to have this group in my life for support! I encourage all of the youth to get more involved in the youth program so you can go to events and connect with people from all over the southwest region. It is awesome and I’m so happy I get to be a part of it.”

News from the Sener Family:
“Kelley and Hannah auditioned and were accepted into the award winning Madrigals Choir at San Marcos High School…way to go girls!!!! The girls have also been doing college visits. We took them to Seattle and Northern California with plans to see San Diego schools soon. Kelley was the Directors Assistant for Showstoppers summer theatre program helping backstage for “Once on This Island” and “Little Women”. She’s trying the behind the scenes thing instead of being in the spotlight and really liked that too. Hannah will be a level 9 gymnast with her season starting in January but working hard 5 days a week this summer. She’ll be glued to the tv watching the Olympics!!! The girls both turned 17 last week…they’re birthdays are different days! (Hannah the 26th, Kelley the 27th) Born at midnight you might recall! Our dog got skunked on Friday…not too newsworthy but thanks for asking!!! Ha Ha!”

From the Schmidt Family:
“Chelsea will be having orthognathic surgery to correct her bite on August 21st…please keep her in your prayers for a totally successful surgery and recovery.”
