The Open Door Sangha is a community dedicated to supporting Buddhist meditation practice, primarily in insight (Vipassana) tradition. We welcome all in an atmosphere that is accepting, free of ritual, informal and relaxed. The monday night sitting group meditates weekly without instuction from 7:30 to 8:15pm followed by a brief discussion. The first Monday of each month someone in the group volunteers to share insights they have gained through meditation. The Thursday evening sitting group offers a 30-45 minute meditation with some instruction, beginning at 7pm, followed by a dharma talk and discussion. Five teachers take turns leading the Thursday group. We generally finish by 8:30pm.
